Mark Gatiss at Darlington Fundraiser Tonight!

October 3, 2015

The TARDIS has landed in the North-East town of Darlington. Well, to be clear, a police box has received a fresh coat of TARDIS blue paint by PC Jeff Summerhill in preparation for an upcoming fundraiser. The fundraiser is in effort to raise funds for a £15,000 stone memorial for former police officers who have passed away.

As part of the event, actor and writer Mark Gatiss will appear at Darlington Civic Theatre on Saturday, October 3. Gattis, who wrote the William Hartnell docudrama, An Adventure in Space and Time, as well as several scripts for Doctor Who, Sherlock, Big Finish, and BBV (and let us not forget his time as an alternative Doctor in BBC Two’s Doctor Who Night sketch, The Web of Fears). He’ll be entertaining audiences with stories about his fascinating career, with Northern Echo editor Peter Barron acting as compere.

Tickets are available through the theatre box office website: darlingtoncivic.co.uk
